  • Need help with awkward shaped room

    Hi all
I have a room with a vaulted ceiling and am struggling with the dimensions I should go with for an enclosure.
As you can see in the picture the left wall (2.4m) is higher than the right wall (2.1m). The room is 4.3m wide.
I have worked out that I could get an enclosure 3.7m wide by 2.4m tall but because I am right handed I would be hitting off centre and more importantly the projector would likely be in my backswing.

I feel I have 2 options - try and floor mount a projector and have this screen size or make the enclosure smaller by moving the left side bin until it is about 3m wide. At that point the ball will be centred and the projector could go above it and not interfere with my swing.

Which do you think works better? Wider and offset with a floor projector or narrower and centred?

A 3rd option might be to get a projector with keystone correction feature.

Here is my vaulted ceiling sim room. Maybe you can get some ideas from this? https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...iling-sim-room

I saw yours and think it's a brilliant use of space - but I (and my son) are liable to the odd ball flying off the toe and that top right corner scares me!

I had actually forgotten about keystone correction - that may work with the larger screen and still have the projector over the ball. Does it degrade the image a lot or is it not really noticeable? With the larger screen I could get an HD 16:10 picture whereas the narrower one would be 4:3. I wonder if a keystoned HD picture still wins out over an untouched SD one..

            thanks
