  • Impact Screen Durability/Absorption Question

So.. in the process of modifying my setup from a 10x12 to a 9x12 setup for true HD and the new screen I purchased is different than my last in design. First one had grommets up top all the way across, then a grommet about 18 inches up from ground and I used bungee cords on each side to "pull" it down and stretch it. It didn't hold up that well for the price and started having permanent swelling/indentations where it was being hit the most. My new screen is a different material, and it allows for you to put your EMT pole through the entire top of it, and another at the base to either free hang with the pole adding weight, or to attach that base pole physically to the cage. Do you think one route over the other would better-absorb the impact so the screen lasts longer? I'm not sure which would be better; hanging and absorbing impact backwards, or mounted top/bottom and quite stiff so the ball rebounds back off the screen.

Would love any advice you all have.

aphillipe i have the set up with EMT pass through for a impact screen it works very will, I would still bungee the top with clamps and pull it tight, you live with in 20 to 30 mins of me and can come over and take a look at it and take a couple shots and see that it drops with not much bounce back and can see how its layered out. or i can give you a hand on your setup with the screen. you can message me and let me know
