  • Wedge Play & Distance from Screen with Simulator

Curious what others experience with wedge play on their simulators?

I have 9ft tall ceilings and am wondering how far I can be from the impact screen before my 50 or 60 degree wedge hits the ceiling instead of the screen? Will not be trying high flop shots, etc. -
just standard wedge play. What do others experience regarding max distance from screen before it's an issue hitting the ceiling?

    Thanks!

I'm about 7 ft away. Started hitting the ceiling with my 54 and 58 degree wedges. Ended up putting up a ceiling net.

Im the same, 7 ft away with 9 ' ceilings. Anything above 50 is gonna be close depending on how high on the face you catch it. I also have a netting up so its a non issue for me now, but there are 3 dents in my drywall as a reminder.

not sure about seven feet seems awfully close to screen for sure there are tricks to keep balls from hitting ceiling or padding that can be applied

It is a pitched roof. Where the screen is, is just over 8 ft but most of my shots that hit the ceiling were between 8 1/2 and 9 1/2 ft (on the pitched section). I now have the ceiling net at 8ft (on top of the Electrical Conduit.. It comes out 4 ft from the screen so I have not had any more issues.
