How do you heat garage?

That is me after playing sim in my garage.
I use a couple of space heaters, but it’s not much help!
How do you guys heat your garage, so it’s more enjoyable to play.
I don’t need to play in shorts, but 3,4 layers of clothing is not ideal
please tell us how you beat this cold.

I went with a mini split heat pump from Mitsubishi so that I could do both heating and cooling in my garage. If I didn't do that, I was getting a hit dawg heater like mthunt posted above

Does garage have insulation, you need to have insulation in ceiling at least. If not the heat will go right roof no matter what kind of heat you have.

i highly recommend a natural gas heater. I have around 900Sqft garage with 10ft ceilings and this works great. I keep it set at 65 and it’s added about $50 to my monthly bill. It’s been really cold here in Iowa as well. It’ll mainly only be the most costly from December through February.

As an added bonus it keeps the Wife's car warm, which allows for more $$$$ to be spent on my toys !!

Heat pump is a good idea if u want A/C in the summer. Or go with natural gas, it's cheap at the moment. I have both.

I use a propane heater to get it from 30 degrees to 55 degrees in about 25 minutes in my 3 car garage with 10 foot high ceilings. I then turn it on low or just use a 1500w space heater from Costco after that. That propane heater is quiet unlike the power blowing kind. I can crack the garage door if need be to allow air in but I usually do not keep it on longer than 30 minutes.

I use this to heat a garage that is 640 sq ft. I have now sectioned off a part of that garage for my simulator and it works extremely well.

You don't need to heat the whole garage just the area you hit from and possibly the computer and launch monitor .. Most Harry homeowner stuff is designed to operate at temperatures humans are usually in. Cold temperatures tend wash out LCD displays like the one in a Foresight GC2..

Insulated garage and use hot dawg heater - turn it on only when using sim in the garage
heats up very quickly and doesn't come on much when I play
wear jeans and long sleeve shirt when playing

I use a 220 heater for a 2 car garage, it works quite well and it's been pretty cold here, single digits to below zero. I just didn't want to mess with burning any type of fuel inside the garage anymore.

How does that affect your electric bill?

Honestly I don't pay attention. I just pay the bill, but it can't be that much since I don't ever recall it being any higher than usual. I only run it when I play which is for about 3-5 hours per week.
