How dark does room need to be?

How dim does an area need to be for the graphics to look sharp on the impact screen? My Simulator room will not be enclosed and I am concerned about it. Is there any light tool I can use?

I’d get track lighting. The key is limiting flood lighting to a minimum. Projectors hate light and anything you can do to limit flood lighting the better the picture

Thanks for the response. I am more concerned with the outside lighting as I am putting this thing in my living room (God Bless my wife) and it has windows.

You may want to consider some type of shades for your windows as the room gets darker, the picture gets better.

Just try looking at your simulator at night with no lights on and you will see the difference!

If you can get a very small light installed above your hitting area that is very narrow, that helps get you light to your swing path, etc. You can even buy temporary battery puck lights that "stick on" to your ceiling and are remote controlled if you don't want to be cutting up the ceiling and electrical conduits.
