    Golf Net Frame

    Hi guys!

So I am in the process of updating my home simulator. Currently I hang my 10x10 net from a line that runs from wall to wall in my bedroom with vaulted ceilings. I would like to build some type of frame to hold the net instead of have it hang from hooks in my wall. I was thinking a frame from PVC pipe? Only problem is I cannot build something that extends backward away from the net because the net hangs a few inches in front of my bed. Has anyone built a frame that does not extend backward? Maybe use PVC to build feet on each side of the bed. My only thought is that it may not be sturdy enough to not fall over.

Has anyone used PVC to build a frame? If so, what diameter? Any information is helpful!

A pic of the room and net would be helpful.

I would go EMT instead of PVC. Have you considered slotted angle iron?

Sorry for the delay guys. This is what I came up with. I grabbed some PVC and build a frame to help support the net. I placed two hooks on each side of my room that I hook some steel wire to to hold the net up. I then connect some carabiners to zip ties on the PVC to help support the weight. All in all I spend about $40 (not including the nets). Even without the PVC the net seems to hold well just anchored in to the walls. Super quick take-down as well if I choose to not use the PVC frame.

Wanted to use PVC because it's super light and very easy to take apart. When I disassemble there's really only 5 pieces that I easily store in a corner of my room.
