  • Starting build could use from feedback/advice

My room dimensions are: 11' wide, 14 ' deep, 8'9" height. The depth is to the screen, so I have another 3 feet or so to the back wall.

I would like thoughts on what size impact screen I should install and probably more importantly and the part I don't really understand - What would be the best projector and the necessary settings to maximize the experience? Any feedback on distance to screen for both the mat and the projector would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your time.

If you have a full wall to work with, I would use it all. 11' wide screen, 1 foot in front of the wall. Bigger is better.

For projectors, with your size limitation, short-throw will be needed. BenQ has a few of these...TH671ST and HT2150ST are the current models. There are a few other short-throw projectors from others (Optoma has a couple).

You will likely need the projector 7-9 feet from the screen to fill it. Use ProjectorCentral to get the exact measurements.

I agree with Shardak 11' wide x 8'9 high. www.Projectorcentral.com is your friend.
