  • Par2Pro SQ Raw Screen Gets High Marks

For those who are wondering about this screen, here’s some feedback. I had an impact screen velcroed to a 10x10 Sportscreen and just replaced it a week ago with a Par2Pro SQ Raw screen. (So to be clear, the SQ screen is velcroed over the black Sportscreen.)

The old screen was from Custom Design Golf. Although it served me well for 3 years, and to be fair, I am not sure if they still sell the exact same screen now, but, I feel the SQ screen is definitely superior. It is a heavier texture, which makes it hang nicely. There are some folds from shipping, but it is not that noticeable and I suspect it will straighten out in time just from hanging.

Picture quality is very good and bounce back is much more muted than my former screen. I am hitting from about 9’ to the screen and am having no issues with bounce. The thicker texture is a plus. I am very happy with this screen and while I can’t vouch for longevity yet, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Also, Cory Par2Pro is very knowledgeable and professional. Excellent customer service!

How long will the beta raw screen be available? I am new to this and hope to get a projector set up 1st to determine how big my screen needs to be.

While the screen will be available, we currently do not have an official end date for when the beta testing will be completed and the price will be increased. For any further information feel free to give Cory or myself a call.

While there is no official screen gain rating we are estimating that it is about a 1.0. Hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, feel free to email me direct at cory@par2pro.com.

I will add my review here also:

I've had my SQ screen (with grommets) up for about a month and I am very happy with it . It's quiet with minimal bounce back. The image quality is very good. I also watch sports and movies on the screen and everything looks great. I have only hit a couple of hundred balls into the screen and it is still like new. I don't see any burn marks but have been using Srixon balls as advised by Cory and not Pro V1s. This is my first screen so I have nothing to compare it to but I am very impressed!

The only negative is there are still small crease lines from shipping. I have yet to steam the screen so I hope these come out!

Thanks for posting your review Chris83d - great to hear that you are happy with it! Yes, a steamer and a bit of time should take those creases out of the screen. If it doesn't just let me know and we can recommend a steamer that has worked for us

Our SQ screen is not officially rated, but it is approximately a 1 when discussing screen gain.

I had a lot of crease marks from shipping and also several indented type marks as I bought an imperfect screen. I finally was able to use a steamer with cloth over it and successfully removed over 95% of the creases and all the indented ones came right out, like they were never there. Take your time steaming and don't hover over one area too long. BTW I washed it right before in the machine and dryer for 10 minutes but due to size it made more crease marks. lol The screen is awesome and well worth it so far.
