I've been using my Skytrak for the last 6 months or so with an inexpensive net and an old TV I had. The net finally has a hole in the back of it so I'm looking to replace it with an impact screen even though I probably won't buy a projector for a while. I have a couple questions though.
I was thinking I'd hang the screen in a conduit frame. Is it best for screen wear and sound dampening if the screen is stretched taut or just hanging relaxed from the top?
Do I need something behind the screen? For added safety, sound dampening or reduced screen wear? If I put something behind it should it be right behind it or should there be a gap?
If I build a frame is it crazy not to put padding on the pipes?
At this point, I'm not sure what other questions to ask because I don't know what I don't know so any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.
Michael
