  • Shot defender for allsports minibay or superbay

Saw the "shot defender" referenced in another post and had some questions that I don't think directly related to the original post so I created this new topic
Assume the intent of the shot defender to deflect the ball away from hitting the horizontal metal bar - deflects off of the shot defender and hits the Impact screen somewhere below the horizontal bar?
For anyone that has this setup, how effective is it - does the shot defender work as intended - or can a fast moving shots still get to the metal bar?
i have a sportscreen setup and I am thinking a shot defender type setup might help to prevent balls from hitting the metal sportscreen roller
    thanks

I built my own shot-defender for under $50. It works well. I have had a couple of high wedge shots hit it directly. And one skied driver shot.

It works well, and the fabric is the same fabric I used to trim the sides of the impact screen, so it blends in seamlessly. Looks like another piece of trim, but saves lives also!

Here is a post where I have a picture and more details:

I have had a Netreturn Pro, with a couple different impact screens, for the last 2 years. I like it, but wanted to go larger, and wanted a screen that I can

I have the shot defender and it saved me already a few times. I hit from about 10 feet and a lob wedge would get me in trouble without the shot defender. My cage is 6 feet deep.
