There was an earlier post where someone recommended using the Multiuse Handy Caddy Sliding Tray 12" found on Amazon as a simple fix for sliding a GC2 unit between 2 locations. It is used to slide along the Y-axis allowing the GC2 to be positioned between a Tee hole in a Fiberbuilt mat, the hitting area for irons on the Fiberbult and then extend it all the way to a smooth hitting section used for putting. It has been the perfect solution for my setup except for having to manually slide the track which causes it to get out of alignment.
I added a handle so I could move it with a golf club but after a few slides, it would move slightly out of line because I wasn't pulling or pushing it perfectly straightforward and back. I'm asking if there are any mechanical engineers out there would be able to guide me to add a small electric actuator which at a push of a button have the slide move straight back and forth. It is probably simple enough to figure out myself but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
