8ft high ceiling - what size screen to allow tensioning?

Hi All,

the ceiling where my screen is going is only 8ft high (swing area is a bit higher). I was just wondering if there was any rule of thumb about how much smaller the screen itself should be to allow room for a frame, bungee cords, grommets so the screen can be correctly tensioned?

You might look at the dimensions for Carl's enclusure kits (table about 2/3rds of the way down the page I provided a link to) - they show some detailed frame sizes and viewable screen sizes for various formats for thier enclosure kits. Might give you a rough idea of what your looking for.
