Ceiling Protection

I plan on building a canopy to hang over my EMT metal frame extending toward my hitting mat. My thinking was to use PVC for the frame and attach netting on the ceiling side and 12oz duck fabric on the underside. I was thinking of using 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC. The pvc frame will be at a 9' 8" height and the ceiling is 10' 7". I plan on hitting from 11'. The front of the frame will be 6' from the tee point. i would appreciate any comments as to concerns about strength of PVC or experience using PVC frame. Thanks in advance.

Fully agree it will shatter.. I had PVC in my Shot Defender and it started to break with the first hit.
