  • 10x10 screen and enclosure question

Hi everyone. Dumb question but if my angle iron frame is 10x10 would I order a 10x10 screen? Or would the frame need to be bigger to fit the whole 10x10?

I have not found any "golden rule" for this. But for those that have built EMT frames it is normally built where the frame is 1 1/2 inch wider on each side or 3 inches total when compared to the screen size. I think each case will be different as how you are planning on attaching your screen to the frame i.e. bungees with clips or bungees through eyelets .. so just a matter of preference as some prefer some of the screen laying at the floor on the bottom and others not. I would suggest deciding what your goal and preferences are and proceed from there.

Mine is emt. Screen 13ft wide frame is 14 wide so 6 inches on each side. Bungie balls and tarp clips.

Carl’s Premium has a 9.5x9.5 screen. It seems that would be my best option giving me 6” on each side. That sound ok? Are there any advantages on bungee connectors? I was leaning towards the ones Carl’s supplies, black ball. I will be hitting from 9-10 feet away so I did not want a lot of rebound.

Tension on the screen is a big contributor to bounce back. If you use adjustable ball bungees and tarp clips, it makes adjusting the tension very easy to do.
