I have a Golfswingsystems impact screen in front of the window and radiator (not ideal I know, but this was the only place I could put it). To make things more difficult, my room is quite shallow, so I’ve pushed my luck with only 8” between the impact screen and radiator.
The attached image is a screen shot of a slow motion video taken behind the impact screen, showing the ball hitting the impact screen with a 6i (115mph ball speed). As you can see, even with this ball speed, if the launch angle was lower, the ball would probably hit the radiator. I tried placing a thick sofa cushion between the radiator and screen, but the bounce back was too severe.
I need to achieve 3 things with some form of adaptation:
1) Make sure ball doesn’t hit the radiator (or go through the screen and hit the window).
2) Minimise bounce back.
3) Reduce light from the window and light bleed from the projector (yet to be purchased).
It needs to be easy to pull the impact screen back, so it can return to a play room.
Any thoughts? Would heavy blackout curtains achieve all of the above? Would they shred?
I need the community’s considerable knowledge and experience!
Thanks,
Dan
