My new build in Finland

Hi everyone. I've been offline for quite a while. Used to be a regular back when Optishot was still cool. Got bored with it and didn't hit a ball in the garage for he best part of 5 years.

Got around to getting myself a Skytrak this winter and I have now nearly finished building a sim around it. Here is a few pics (by my friend JH) and a quick vid of my build. ( https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-R...3Sq2zpgQv9t3HN )

Specs:

Par2Pro SQ Custom Impact screen 380cmx295cm Imported from US
4mx4m 30mm tee turf bought locally (still hitting off my old 1.5mx1.5m teeline turf as the big mat has not quite settled properly yet)
Optoma HD600x-LV (my old and dusty 16:10 800p)
PC running TGC with i7 4790k GTX970
OBS and a few webcams for possible streaming etc.

Definitely going to join the tour.

You not tempted to drop image to floor and black valence the top ( see my images) feel it makes it more immersive, especially seeing green carpet run into green digital fairway.

I'll end up with my own shadow on the screen. Not a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I need a short throw. My old projector is a compromise in many ways....

I’m running the optoma darbee from 2m to get my 4m width it goes high enough 2.6m so not in the way of swing plane. Would eventually like the 4k550st but too pricey.

I think your skytrak feet are upside down.

I put mine on that way too. Putting them on the "correct" way made it sit too high above the mat with where I have it

Yes. I know. They work better that way with the thick turf.

Your Stairville Curtain are made in one piece and you have sewed Velcro on the edges to attach it to the screen?

Thanks Exactly. One piece with eyelets at the top to attach to my curtain "rails" and then a lot of sewing of velcro. Well worth it though.
