  • Enclosure build questions

    Hello

Finally getting around to building my enclosure. I decided to mimic the Carl’s Enclosure Kit build but have a few final questions.

    1) In the picture below, any idea what Carl’s is using to cover up the EMT bars?

    2) Side panels, I see many posts on the different types ranging from commando cloth to marine cloth. Is there a preferred type? Also, how are most securing the side panels to EMT bars? Velcro tape? Camel clips?

    Thanks in advance!

I have pipe insulation on the rear horizontal bars both top and bottom. Menards marine carpet black (wbond recommendation) . It's like felt and can be cut with scissors. Velcro tape adheres the marine carpet to the emt pipe. At the top I used moving carpet rolled up as wedge killa (triplebogiesrbetter).

      fantastic! thanks Wiz.

Unfortunately, no Menards near me. Was at Home Depot last night and they have something similar. They also have the pipe insulation which I may pick up.

Pool noodles would work as well

Tough to find same color large ones. here is where I ordered them. The packs with 4 or more are priced well.

Thanks guys. I was reading historical comments and it seemed some mentioned that the foam noodles didn’t help with bounce back but in actuality, made it worse. Thoughts?

My screen is almost 15 feet wide. I hung some dark Grey carpet strips down the sides covering the cords and EMT pipes. I hit from about 10 feet so I never been (really taking a chance on fate posting this) close to shaking one into a side pipe.

        Quick question guys.

What are you using to cover up the bolts in the fittings?

My marine carpet wraps around and frames in screen for a finished look. It covers the grommets on impact screen too.

I wrapped 3 layers of carpet padding around mine and zip tied all of the pipes and then curtains over the side posts and tarp over the top bar and a layer of pipe insulation.
