Carl’s premium screen grainy image quality, why?

I have a 10x8.5 Carl’s premium screen, optoma gr1080 darbee projector, a dell 27 all in one with rx560 8gb graphic card, . However, the image is washy and grainy on the screen, especially the sharpness of the text and image as you can see from the pictures.

I cleaned the lens
i reset the projector
i hang a blank paper to see difference, and the sharpness improved a lot.
i flipped the screen to the incorrect side, and the picture quality improved to a more sharp image.

So for those of you using the premium out there, how did you get your image to look sharp or did I just get the inferior one?

I have never been happy with the image quality in my setup, same as you Carls premium screen and optoma1080. I have just learnt to live with it. Looking at text and websites is awful but when playing TGC or the Skytrak range it's not as bad. Few things you can try though on the projector :-

Increase the image sharpness setting up or down see if that helps
Change the gamma setting to Graphics
Change the Darbee mode - I don't have the Darbee version but I believe this has three settings that may help image quality, Hi-Def, Gaming, Full. Maybe one of them will improve the quality.
Finally make sure the lamp is set to Bright mode - Think Dynamic black setting needs to be off for this to be adjustable.

I have an Nvidia card so there were also a few tweaks I made on that as well but as you have an AMD I don't know what's available on that side of things, however there may be a few enhancements to be made that can help so worth digging around or hopefully someone with the same card with offer some advice.

I have a Carl's premium screen. Very happy with picture. Only tweak I made with my Epson projector setting is increasing the sharpness. Maybe check the resolution you are running at.

Full disclosure. This is my 1st screen as i just moved from a net return net so my comparison experience may he limited.

Should have mentioned this is my third screen and never really been blown away by the image quality on any of them. The Carls screen is the best for picture quality so far so not blaming the screen as such maybe more the projector. I don't know anyone else with a simulator so maybe what I am seing is fine and normal.
I have an old Sanyo Z5 which is only 720p and I use that projected onto the wall next to my sim to watch sport etc. and I can say it blows the optoma away in terms of picture quality. I have tweaked every setting I can on the Optoma and it's still not great. So if anyone has some magic settings that they want to share that would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. The comparison I did is 1. A piece of paper taped to the screen, which makes the text much sharper.

2. I flipped the screen which also makes the screen a bit sharper.

So I suspect it is this premium screen.
