Sportscreen question: Bounce... What to do

I find that with my sportscreen that I have an archery net ontop of, produces quite a bit of roll up and/or bounce off of the screen. I'm now considering building a baffle for above the screen directed down to catch those wedge shots that spin up and actually hit my ceiling.

Has anyone tried angling the screen back a bit to see if it would reduce the bounce or roll up?

I would like to bump this question up, as I have the same issue. Especially wedges really seem to climb the screen.

I have archery net behind my screen. Net fairly tight, screen hanging from top, and slightly weighted at bottom, no clips/tension on sides. The two are hanging from the same horizontal EMT, and touching each other. I only have 8” to the wall behind the netting, so a 3” mattress topper is hanging against the wall.

Screen absorbs most of the hit, and ball bounces back about 2 feet or drops straight. This also stopped the climbing wedge shots.

968Cab can you please share where you bought the archery net, and what kind of cost? This sounds like a good solution as I will be installing soon with limited space behind the screen (less than 12")

West Coast Netting. If I recall it was similar/close to the direct mill screen price for same size. White archery netting, raw finish. Showed up in about 3 days! 👍🏼

West Coast Netting is the industry's leading manufacturer of custom netting for sports, amusement, commercial, and industrial applications. Shop our products!

To clarify, my netting is secured on 3 sides with clips/bungees, the screen is just the top and weighted at the bottom. I played with one side of the netting’s clips, adjusting the tension until the bounce back was acceptable/safe.

I have archery netting suspended above using my garage railings and then took some foam pipe insulation tubes and hung it in front of the roller and right above the projector image using zip ties.

It will catch some wedge shots but not all. Also looks ghetto but it's my garage and has all my kids stuff strewn about.
