I use black marine carpet to frame it in. It sticks to velcro tape that is on my emt. Nice finished look. Got that idea from wbond!

This is a great cost effective way of doing it and looks pretty nice.

ID:	217620I'm still not clear how you would attach the marine carpet (or any other material. I've attached pics of my screen and how the bungees attach. Do you just run velcro tape along the tarp clips and let the marine carpet hang? Or do you run the velcro tape along the tarp clips and also along the angle iron to

Side note...this is the last piece to figure out for my sim room. I'm 99.9% done and completely thrilled with how it turned out, much to the support of this forum. I'll share my pics next week once I have the furniture in place so everyone can see the finished product.

I attached velcro tape to my emt pipe and the marine carpet stick to that velcro. I would try to put it on the angle iron and let the marine carpet bend overlapping wall and screen to frame it in. You could try putting some velcro tape also on the clips. It will look great.

I just wrapped the velcro around my emt and the marine carpet sticks easily and stays in place. I only do this in about 5 locations on a 10' tall frame. Since you have angle iron, you will probably need to use adhesive backed velcro, and you can probably get away with just placing strips between your tarp clips. You will be amazed at how much of a difference putting up the trim makes in the appearance.

I did it the hard way but happy with the results. I got 3/8” plywood, faced it with 1” foam, and wrapped it with blackout chicago canvas. Huge pain in the ass, but gave me what I was after. My frame is wood, but with a little thought you could probably achieve a very similar look.

Really like this idea. Any reason you chose plywood vs. just cheap pine 1x material? Also, how did you attach these valences to your frame?

I can't tell from the picture, what do you have on the ground in front of the screen? Is that same plywood/foam wrapped in canvas?

No that's different. That is a mattress wedge (foam) wrapped in the black canvas. In case anyone ever hits a funny shot that is too low. I've never done that of course. Hehe.

Sorry to be off topic but how did you attach your screen. I see the tarp clips and angle iron. Are you using small bungees ? I'm trying to figure out how to hang my screen. I have a 10' wide space wall to wall and want to maximize space without a frame.

How did you end up finishing the trim around the screen with the angle iron?
