In the process of building my garage simulator setup using a manual Sportscreen. The manual crank works but it takes too many cranks and my arms get tired.
I made this crank hook to use with a cordless drill. Now I can crank up and down the screen in about 10 seconds.
It's a much cheaper option than buying a power version of Sportscreen. Parts consist of a bicycle hook, a round metal rod, and electrical cable clamp to secure the hook and rod together.
Below are links to parts I use (all available from Home Depot) for less than $9.
Crank hook and drill to motorize a manual Sportscreen
5/16 x 48 inch round rod $5.85
5/16” x 6” bicycle hook $0.97
3/8 electrical cable clamp $1.87
