My wall is 15ft wide and 9.5 tall and I would like to get the screen as big as possible. I will attach the screen using angle iron directly on the walls. So the question is...if i bought a 14ft screen would 5 inches on each side allow me to tighten the screen enough to have the sagging out or should i get something a little smaller in width to make sure i can tighten it as much as needed?

In looking to mount similar to how you have. I'm curious as to how you did your bungees on the side. They seem to running top to bottom vs side to side? How well does that work? How is the top secured?

Kevin_82 On the top I used tarp clamps hung off J hooks, on the sides I place a tarp clamp and eye bolt every foot and staggered them by 6" then laced it with a one piece 1/4" bungee I got at Menards. Works great.

My screen only has about 2.5" on the left and right side (before the angle iron), and part of the top of the screen only has about 2.0" of clearance to the angle iron (a house support beam is in the way so I went super-tight to maximum screen height). While I would have liked a bit more 'room' to pull the screen tighter on all sides - it works totally fine - I have zero sagging across the entire screen! The screen is 14.5' wide by 8.6' high. These pictures are from last year - when the screen was first installed. The room is still not done yet - never ending project!!! LOL Hope this helps!

that looks awesome. What are you using for the side panels?Originally posted by Carl Johnson View PostMy screen only has about 2.5" on the left and right side (before the angle iron), and part of the top of the screen only has about 2.0" of clearance to the angle iron (a house support beam is in the way so I went super-tight to maximum screen height). Those are hand-made - OMG - has taken me forever! They look nice but not sure I would ever make them again - too much labor! The base material is 1/4" fiberboard (Home Depot), then the padding material is packing-foam (special order from a foam shipping-type company), with black vinyl covering.Last edited by Carl Johnson; 01-03-2020, 03:39 PM.
