Question on impact screen distance to back wall

Question on impact screen distance to back wall for a garage set up.

    What distance do you recommend?

What material do you recommend putting behind the impact screen to minimize impact sound or buffer to not damage your back garage wall. Thanks!

I hung a couple of duvet covers and 3" memory foam behind my screen because I was having problems with too much bounce back. I also ended up unhooking all of the bottom bungie grommets and a few from each side.

The screen is a bit loose to control bounceback so I have it about 10-12 inches away from my wall. I have a Carl's premium screen.

I have mine about 20 inches in front with nothing behind and no issues.

I have about 10" behind mine with harbor freight mesh netting and a queen size memory foam mattress. I'm using the par2pro sq raw screen material. I honestly don't think I need the netting and mattress. Par2pro also states that you don't need anything behind it, but check with them if that's what you decide to see what distance they recommend.

I have a screen from Par2pro as well (hq if I recall) and it is backed by archery netting (I am taking no chances) and have my screen about 10 or so inches from the wall.

Carls Premium nothing behind it, 12 inches to wall. Took video and a 165 mile an hour ball speed gets about 4 inches from wall.

perfect, I'm hoping to go as close to wall as I can, maybe even 6" and it sounds like your video confirms that's plenty of space PittsburghRed are you having any bounce back problems with the ball flying back at you and can you share pics of how you have mounted your screen (is it bungees to a metal frame, or something else)?

Golf Impact Screens that Bring The Fairway to You You don't need a country club budget to get a pro-level hitting surface. Carl's golf impact screens are the heavy-duty engine of your home golf setup, engineered to handle 250 mph screamers without flinching. Available in a range of sizes and aspect ratios to perfectly fit your projected image.

Is the Premium screen the one that everyone has? Is it a huge difference from Standard, Preferred and Premium Screen at Carl's as I noticed the price ramps up to almost double to go from Standard -> Premium.

Interesting. Can't find the post, but apparently Carl's is the same direct from the mill as Par2pro's. Par2pro 1/2 price of Carl's. Anyone?

Dbgolf looks just as good as premium but they aren't the same color so they can't be the same. Imo

                dbgolf is definitely premium
im using carls premium and it's way better than preferred. Thicker quieter and doesn't stretch in impact area like preferred
