  • Best way to hang a screen

What is the best way to hangs an impact screen that has grommets? Angle iron? other? Thanks l

There is no "best". Angle irons are used if the screen was going wall-to-wall. If your screen was floating in the middle of a larger space, then probably an EMT frame. There's not really too much overlap, it's all about what is needed for the space you are working with.

I agree with @Celaras If you have the room, build a 1" EMT frame (plenty of posts on here about that) and use adjustable ball bungees (lowes) to even the tension out.

There are many ways to install. I personally like the angle iron. Just mount to wall or if you need to extend from wall add 2x4 and add angle iron. The screen needs to be connected with bungees to tighten screen.

i have angle iron on left, right and top side to pull screen tight with no ripples. One big concern to keep balls from escaping from the top over screen is easy to resolve using thin outdoor carpet on top. I have this carpet on top ceiling and have the carpet hanging extra length down 18 inches over the screen. This creates a secure blockage so golf balls don’t escape over screen.
