Using Carl’s blackout screen or sheet as impact screen protector.

Has anyone used a cheaper material over their impact screen while practicing? My screen is already showing marks - mostly from high spinning wedges. I would like to increase the longevity and preserve the appearance of it for actual gameplay.

It would likely help. A plain sheet will get shredded but with the screen behind it it may last a while.

I'd make it a point to check the ball you're hitting closely and often, the tiny little nicks and cuts eat a screen up. I have a good supply of never been outside balls that are fine for hitting on the course but retired from my sim setup over this winter because of minor scuffs.
Somewhere there are water hazards and deep rough just licking their lips in anticipation for when I hit the course with a bunch of (almost) perfect golfballs.

I used a Rukket net before getting my screen setup. Pops up and down very quickly with “tent pole” like setup.
