Options to Dampen Jarring Driver Sound...

I have a garage setup, and find that my driver is still loud in the space. Anyone have success finding a ball and/or driver combo to mute the sound?

Ideally I'd like to find a used driver that is know to be more muted and use that for the simulator. I also found some people use cotton balls: https://www.hirekogolf.com/what-is-t...-picking-sound

Anyone find any particular equipment (balls, driver) or modifications that seem to work well to mute the sound?

Basically a fairly wide 2 car garage, and on one end of a stall I put a moveable framed screen to hit into. I then have a 5x5 mat on the floor that I can move if required, that way I can still park in the stall if need (really cold weather, or hail). I also raised a section of the roof a couple feet (from 8 to 10 feet) so I can swing a driver. Had a Skytrak, but just ordered a Mevo+ so had to extend the setup a couple of feet to accommodate the Mevo+ distance to screen requirements.

There’s no point in practicing with equipment you won’t use on the course. Cheaper to buy ear plugs instead of using a different driver or fake golf balls.

if you want to dampen sound in the garage look for studio sound absorption panels, or add soft objects to your room.

In my case, I rarely use my gamer clubs for the simulator as they are usually just left in the trunk of my car, and just use an older set for the simulator. Looking into this more, it sounds like a lot a people have experimented with cotton balls and spray foam, and got good results with both. A few people rave about the how much better the sound/feel is after spray foam. I have a couple of old drivers, so will pickup some spray foam and give it a shot...I'l post if this makes a significant difference, which I'm sure also depends a lot on the drive you start with...
