  • manual retracatble screen

Very new here to the forum and still trying to figure out the search function! Hopefully someone can either point me to another thread or can help here. Looking at putting in an impact screen in my garage. Space is fairly limited with stuff we have stored on walls as well as how my garage door openers sit (2 doors with belt drive on rails). I have room to take full swings with a driver in some areas but the placement of the screen will definitely be in the way when we pull cars in later. So I am hoping to find a retractable screen that I can mount on the rafters (about 12 feet from ground) and then easily store when not playing. I figure I will buy some truf that I can roll up when not in use as well. My goal is to keep setup and breakdown to 5-10 minutes tops.

I've see a few of the electric screens but am hoping to cut cost down a bit and stick with a manual one (if they make them). I have a movie room in basement that has a manual one but not sure if that type of screen is the same as a golf impact screen. I am guessing no.

Are there any recommended manual retractable screens or are there ones you can recommend that are quick to setup and take down?

I have my old Mitsubishi PJ I will be using along with the R motion and TWC golf simulator for now. Someday may move to a Mevo+ or Skytrac but the R motion is fine for now.

    Thanks

    Search "SportScreen"

This will return a bunch of results with pictures and details of what a bunch of us are doing where we have to set up and tear down each time. Mine takes 5-10 minutes for set up and about 5 minutes for storing it away. Since your only using R-Motion for now the set up should be much faster, once you upgrade to SkyTrak or Mevo+ then you will have to add the additional time for alignment for those devices.
