What am I doing wrong? The ball bounces back several feet. I have tried putting a foam mattress topper behind it. I feel like if I bungee all the sides it would just make the screen tighter and bounce it back even more. Sound I bungee the bottom?

My first step is reducing the bounce back to once a couple of inches and then getting it as close to the wall as I can.

    Thanks for any advice.

Are you sure its not hitting the wall, how far away from the wall is the impact screen?

Have you tried removing the matts that are weighing down the bottom of the screen.

Good thought here. I struggled with solving the bounceback issue at first as well. The key for me in figuring it out was letting the bottom hang free so it could give backwards a little. I have my hung pretty tight on top and the upper half of the sides but have nothing tying it on the bottom or the bottom-half of the sides. I also wonder if you have a little bit too much screen on the ground. Screen looks a bit big for the space.

Agree with 3on3putt. I have little to no bounce back using SQ Raw screen. Hung reasonably taught at top but bottom third with minimum tension and a little screen hanging on floor

I have it about 12 inches from the wall. I was hoping to only have 6 inches or so but that isn’t working. Had a memory foam behind it but it didn’t help. Yeah mats were thrown there after hitting. I think the screen is fine width wise but might be a little long. I’d didn’t think that would be an issue though.

I have a Carl’s Premium and mine is considerably tighter all around, including the bottom being secured. I’ve got mine lightly stretched across and basically hanging straight down with just a inch or so riding on the floor. I feel like the screen has plenty of stretch and give in it to do the job, maybe having it as loose as you do isn’t allowing the engineering/construction to do its job.

I'm with you 100% on this. I had the same issue and made identical adjustments to fix the problem. I would first remove the mats holding the bottom of the screen down. If that doesn't help, either remove the lower side supports or at least reduce the tension. My screen is pretty tight across the top and the top quarter of the sides. The bottom half of the screen hangs free. The downside is that sometimes I need to lift the screen at the bottom to retrieve previously hit shots but I have close to zero bounce back. I'm sure you could find a happy middle ground if you take time to play with the adjustments.

Fixed it by buying pipe and putting bungees on it. Barely a bounce back now.
