  • Par2Pro Stealth Installation

I am about to start a garage installation of the Stealth and was wondering what others did to attach a flat eye hooks or D rings to their garage floor. The instruction from Par2Pro is to screw or glue a flat eye hook to connect the lower bungees to. Can anyone share what hooks they used and whether gluing with epoxy should even be considered? I'd like something that folds flat so that it doesn't become a tripping hazard.

    Thanks in advance.

I tried using large suction cups on the concrete floor and used their mini black bungees.
I didn't want a trip hazard either. Also, the screen looks better with more vertical tension than lateral. Pulling from the side didn't get the result and the suction cups would give up after a half hour.

The following is with a 16' wide sportscreen and 14' wide impact screen, but it may work for you.

Install the pipe into the base of the black sportscreen. Cover the sleeved pipe with insulation for padding. The weight of the pipe keeps the screen from moving much and I was surprised how well it absorbed the energy on drives.

Insert a single ball bungee through the screen grommet at each end and wrap under and around the pipe once.

I hook and unhook each time the screen moves up or down to retention the bungee and allow the fabrics to freely roll up. I leave them unhooked while the screen is up.

I stopped the screen halfway down to demonstrate how I attach in the following pictures. Wrapping the bungee under then around and over the top of the pipe gave me the best result. That slight downward pull makes the screen look nice.

Thank you very much. Are you using 6" ball bungees?

Short ball bungee cords, about 6-10".

I don't return the end of the loop back around to the ball though. There is a small band that I cinch up to make the end loop tight around the end pipe.

The main function is to pull down on the impact screen to help keep it flat. The mass of the two screens are suspended off the floor with a half inch gap. It all just hangs and absorbs shots.

I used a drop anchor put into the garage floor. Then i used an eyebolt that screwed into it. When playing, screw eyebolt, when not just remove it and you have a completely flat surface. Granted you need a hammer drill and masonry bit to do this, but i wanted it this way so there would be nothing above the floor surface.

I finally installed it last night. Does anyone have recommendations to ensure the sportscreen and impact screen roll up straight? The mounts are perfectly level, but you can see the excess on one side.

I'd say they all do that and am not worried about damage to the fabric.
