I am about to add an impact screen to my golf simulator room. To date, I have simply had a net and watch the result on a large TV monitor. I use the room every day and hit at least 150 long irons or woods into the same small area on the net. The net strings constantly break in the same area from the constant impact. Patching the net is a simple low cost item. My concern is that when I setup the impact screen, what's the effect on a high quality screen of constantly receiving shots into the same area of the screen? If needed, does someone have any ideas on how to protect that area of the screen without completely destroying the graphic effect of having an impact screen? These screens are expensive and I neither want to replace it twice a year or have one spot "beat to hell". Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated

How to stop Impact Screen from wearing?

A screen is a wear and tear item, although not all screens are the same. Archery baffle screens can be much more heavy duty than cheaper impact screens. If you do go premium then they are often a thicker, multi-layer screen that should last longer than the cheaper screens.
One option could be to add a strip of material that hangs down the hitting area for when you are doing mundane practice. When you have guests or want to immerse yourself in the experience then you can remove the additional strip.
Ideally of the same material as your screen as it'll blend in and on a busy image the edges won't be that noticeable.
I've had a few customers who have ordered raw screen material from me in addition to a strip for this purpose.
Other than that - use clean golf balls, lower spin ideally, no marking on the balls - hit them gently

I think the first and most important thing is to watch for ball wear and replace your golf balls frequently as soon as they start showing wear.
getting a good quality screen will help and I believe you will see comments from people on this site who have suggested ordering additional screen dimensions from what you need. They will then fold the screen at their edges and us tarp clips to secure their screen. Over time they will adjust the screen one way or another to ensure one area does not wear too quickly and thus spread the wear on their screen to different places over time to prolong life.
Another thing that many have done is to back up their screen with something. I back mine up with archery netting and others use their old screens as a back up.
Putting netting in front of the screen is another option, but this will have an impact on image quality.
