Hi all, I was planning my sim build over the summer and delayed ordering a "straight from the mill" screen. I noticed that discussion was closed by the member. Has anyone else taken up the reins on this or is there anywhere else to get the same or similar product at such a reasonable price? (Other than Carl's, which is something like 3x the price). Thanks!!

I have 2 screens from the guy that used to sell them. I like the screens, but was looking for other options in case i need a new one. It looks like this is the same fabric at a reasonable price. Not as cheap but reasonable.
I can't vouch for it since I've never bought the screen from them. I have bought one other item from them and received it in a timely manner.

I bought a screen from them a few years ago didn’t even last me 6 months before putting a hole through it. I also change my golf balls regularly

Did you buy the 'new' fabric. I don't think they offered this fabric until this year. Their old screens looks like junk, but the new ones in the picture looks like the same fabric the Mill screens I have are. It's not an easy fabric to replicate, so I assumed its the same, or it's a chinese replica which is always possible.

This reason I think they might be the same is from this picture. Which is what the Mill fabric looks like. Two outside layers with 'fuzz' in between. The screen is almost squishy. Could just email them and ask them who the manufacturer of the fabric. Otherwise Carls also sells the Mill fabric, but their prices are crazy in comparison.Originally posted by G-$ View PostWow schwag33, i’ve been lurking here for a while but I haven’t heard of Spectrum Golf screens (The link you posted). How can you tell it is the same fabric? Has anyone use these with success?

Daniel (dbgolf72) isn't checking in on the forums as of late, but I contacted him at the email he provided and purchased a 16'x10' screen just this week. I let him know that there is growing interest on getting direct from the mill screens from new forum members here, and he responded saying he's willing to help anyone out who contacts him.Originally posted by G-$ View PostHi all, I was planning my sim build over the summer and delayed ordering a "straight from the mill" screen. For anyone going this route, you just have to be a little patient with communication understanding that he is busy and this is not his core service.
Good luck!

Did you do it through a website? He had mentioned before about possibly setting one up to make it easier to order.

No, I just sent him an email (dbgolf72@yahoo.com) and he responded within a couple of days. The option to get it shipped to GA Stage for finishing is still there as well.Originally posted by wbond View PostDid you do it through a website? wondering, are half sizes available (10.5 ft) or would I need to round up to to 11ft? Also is the height set at 10 ft? I think I need a screen of 10’10” x 8.5’. So would I just need to round up to 11 x 10?Originally posted by RoMax View PostI just did, he is a super guy
actually never mind, Looks like I’ll need to round up to 11x10Last edited by Sixmudd; 12-04-2020, 07:16 AM.
