  • Net Return or is a cheaper net OK?

Eventually I'll have dedicated space, but for at least the next year I need to move or at least partially take everything down between uses of my simulator. I'll occasionally use a screen in my garage when playing with friends, but will usually use a net in my apartment so it's more quiet. I'll hit with a net more than the screen, because I can't leave everything in my garage. It's too cold here in the winter, and my garage isn't completely secure. I'll be taking my computer, skytrak, and projector out to the garage each time I play out there.

My big question is, do I go with a Net Return Pro and add a screen? Or, do I go with a cheaper net that's lighter and probably easier to move?

For example, I found these two nets that might work well:

    Spornia - https://spornia.com/collections/golf...32013300564073
This even has a simulator screen attachment. Just looks so flimsy and tbh, I think I would hesitate to rip a shot into this while inside my apartment.

    Rukket Sports - https://www.rukket.com/collections/g...roduct-reviews
Again, just looks a little flimsy, and not entirely show how I would mount a screen. Most likely would have to have the screen be standalone or pull down from ceiling, with the net as backup.

Thoughts? Is it worth going w/ the Net Return? I would probably get the 'home' size, but can fit the 'pro' size too.

I started with the net return 4 years ago and it shows no wear. I have neighbors that went with a cheaper net and within a few days some had holes in them. None lasted over 6 months that I know of. Net Return is easy to break down and move for what it is. Very durable/ sturdy and its not an eye sore.

The net return has seen good results from other users, but please note that it does eventually fail. I have a friend with a golf ball in his dry wall now. This, if you are not backing up your hitting material, you should inspect the high impact area every once in a while.

Thanks guys, good to know. I pulled the trigger on the Home series b/c I found it on ebay for $350. Ordered the side barriers too.

Starting to wonder if I should have just paid full price and gone for the pro series for the extra foot in width. Looks like it adds a full foot to screen size if/when I set it up w/ a projector.

I have the net return pro series with the side nets and I love it. Great quality and easy to move.

Do you think the extra size vs. the Home series would make a big difference? The Pro series is a foot wider, and 6" taller.
