Hi. New to this group. Look for some advice on which is the new impact screen to buy in the UK. I have seen video's that seem to show that standard archery screen has a sharper image and contrast to a premium type 3 sheet. I would be putting into my own frame 3.5 x 2.5 mtrs using tarp clips and bungies. So RAW material I think is best. Looking for in order of priority 1. Screen image quality 2. Excellent wear 3. Low bounce back 4. Low noise. Any pointer gratefully received as this is an expensive part of the whole setup

I will be able to set it up, but I’m in the middle of my build and haven’t as yet decided on a projector, (I would like to floor mount but with a Mevo + that may not be possible) so sadly won’t be able to post any pictures of image quality.Originally posted by Patator100 View Post2wheeler Great, once you get it, can you let know how it is once you get it. I m in touch with Jamie goodhall - very good guy btw, and he s recommending me this screen. He can also offer a sharper screen (more expensive) but for the difference of price, he recommends this particular screen that has a blackout layer.

FYI - P2P confirmed my order on 18th. I received it this afternoon! Bloody amazed!
I've had the photo screen in front of the existing archery screen for a week now and I have to say, I wish I hadn't bothered buying the P2P screen. I cannot believe how good it is for the price.
I would recommend it to anyone considering upgrading their existing screen. Or indeed, to anyone who hasn't yet purchased a screen and is considering their options.

Yes I did but only for a week or so. The image quality was no better to be honest and it’s much louder than the SQ screen. I took it down and will keep it for when I blow a hole In the SQ. If you have the archery style screen you will notice a difference but with a SQ or similar the difference is minimal.

thanks for the answer. I've been using the backdrop for 6 months now with my archery screen.
I'm now looking at buying a seconds 801 or 501 screen from the onestopsimshop and I'm hoping to get at least the same quality of image than the backdrop, if not better (which is much better than the PR-20 archery screen I'm using)...but much more resistant overtime (even if I have no issue so far)

DBgolf who did the Direct from the Mill Screen thread I believe still does screens and ships to the UK. I had 2 screens from him , he was great to deal with considering that it was a sideline for him.Originally posted by simmb View PostI recently put a hole in my carls premium screen and started doing the screen research again in the UK. I saved a huge amount by buying from him rather than UK retailers. If you search the forum you might be able to find the last comms regarding this.

Just bumped into this thread and seen the message that I didn't get back to you. That's very unusual (I'm sure my customers could say I'm normally responsive). Glad you got something sorted for you in any case.Originally posted by simmb View PostI recently put a hole in my carls premium screen and started doing the screen research again in the UK. The comparison between archery screen and premium Type 3 screen is my video on YouTube and although the archery offers fantastic value there is no doubt that the coarseness/grainyness of the weave make it inferior to the premium material - especially where watching movies/sports is also a requirement. The other area to consider is that the archery screen is effectively a "net" so the material is very flexible and almost wants to sag, so you need to tension it well, which with eyelets etc means you need to be very careful with sizing. The premium Type 3 like RAW material is a spongier material and "wants" to be flat so it so much easier to hang with minimal tensioning required - just enough to hang it and open it up. With a 4k projector the image is absolutely stunning.
I'm a little late to contribute to this thread but hey ho
Cheers, Phil
