Can you cut a SportsScreen?

Looking to purchase a SportsScreen as the base layer to an impact screen and was wondering if anyone has cut theirs to fit in their enclosure.

The screen is 10ft and I'm looking to cut the width down to 8.5/9ft. Was wondering if I do something like that, will it affect/ruin the material of the screen?

Any help from someone in the know would be greatly appreciated.

I just folded it over to reduce the width

Looking into cutting down the aluminum casing that the screen rolls up on by about 1". Would anyone have experience with that? Would a mitre saw with a carbide blade work?

+ 1 on folding the screen. Assuming you are using tarp clips this gives you the ability to shift the screen at least once if you start to get a wear spot on the screen.
