Has anyone built an “enclosure” without using any EMT pipes and connectors?
I have been thinking about using 3 or more steel wires/cables attached to the two side walls, along with side curtains and top cloth/netting as per the attached diagrams. I think it might be slightly cheaper and more importantly eliminates the risk of top bar returning the odd golf ball at speed or even the front top pipe of the EMT enclosure interfering with any projector positioning and avoiding shadows from that. Theoretically, the angled turn of the drape plus weight of the hanging screen/baffle net behind it would “seal” the join such that golf balls can’t escape from that seam.
I would love to hear any pros and cons of this approach, from experience or even first impressions.
The third picture is one I found from googling around or via this forum (can’t remember!) - the top cloth could also be used to create baffle effect as well for added ceiling protection (the poster used an EMT frame but other than that, use of top cloth/net would still be similar in my scenario)
