Swing bay with a corner going up to ceiling to have more room for car

I have a 2-car garage. If I build a 9x9x9 cage then it would be really tight for my minivan to park. I am designing my EMT swing bay frame with a corner bracing on the ceiling joist to give room for the minivan when I am playing. Do you think this is OK?
