Net Return Pro Series 2

I just got my Mevo Plus and am trying to figure out whether to build out a full enclosure in my garage, or to go with a net (like the Net Return Pro Series 2 and have a 60 inch TV next to it (probably left side at a 45 degree angle). I have a couple of questions. If I go with the Net Return, can it handle lob wedge shots. Assume I would have to get closer to it to do that. And second question, if I need to be closer for a lob wedge, would there be enough ball to net distance for it to register on a Mevo Plus? I think I am supposed to have 8 feet between the ball and net. Appreciate any responses!

I have a Net Return Pro Series 2 in my garage. I use a skytrak and a projector (floor mounted) for the image. I have the net return pro series screen as well (also have the additional side nets and the No Fly zone, which gives it extra height).

The net itself is great. Very high quality and it will catch just about any shot I hit. I had just the net and my mat for about a month before i got my launch monitor and projector. Without the projector, I was able to stand close enough to the net so that even 60 degree lob wedges will be stopped by the net. With the floor mount projector, I end up about 8 feet from ball to the screen. I think that is enough for the mevo+, but at that distance, my 60 degree does need to stay in the bag for a full swing. I am able to flop the net if you will with my 60 and can even do it with my 56 if I try (yes I have tried, lol). I will usually move my skytrak to the very front of my hitting mat if I know I need to hit a higher shot. I have never seen a pitching wedge clear it.

I currently have plans to finish my garage, and part of that will include some sort of foam padding above the hitting area.

One thing I will say about the net. If you aren't using accessories, its very easy to assemble and disassemble. That said, I couldn't imagine actually hitting balls into this without the side and top net accessories, unless you are very confident in your swing (and don't plan to let your drunk friends use it). Throw in the screen, and this thing become much more of a chore to take up and put down.

I love my sim, which is still relatively new, but considering I have resigned myself to parking outside for the time being, part of me wishes I would have gone with a more permanent enclosure. I simply don't take the thing down.

Thanks for the response. I will have an extra garage bay where I will set up the net. Thinking I will get the Pro Series V2 net, the “no fly zone” attachment and the side nets. Will likely just leave the net up full time. I will maybe hit down to the 50 or 54 degree clubs indoors, but maybe will work on the 60 and maybe 54 outside with the Mevo Plus.

I have then net return and the no fly is a waste of money it’s better to use your own netting. The no fly just adds 10inchs to the height

Any examples or links to share on adding your own netting to the Net Return net? Thanks
