I am tight for space. I have a 17 foot long room and want to keep as much as that as possible for Mevo plus to ball and ball to screen (I need 16 feet minimum, and it seems every inch or half foot in addition to that matters to accuracy of readings). I see most recommend leaving a foot of free space between screen and the back wall. Has anyone anyone put some acoustic tiles (2 inch tiles) on their back wall so that they can reduce the space ?. Does it work ?

I think a lot depends on your screen as well. I do have the 1 foot of space so I cannot say definitively but I do not think my Par2Pro SQ screen deflects that far. I am wondering if the screen retailers or manufacturers might be able to answer that one for you. The Par2Pro folks have always given very solid counsel for me and others from all accounts - perhaps try there?-
Thanks. I have premium screen from Carls and I can tighten or loosen the bungees to reduce or increase the bounce back from the ball when it hits the screen. The problem is the more that I loosen them (to reduce the bounce back) the more space I need behind the screen to make sure that the ball and screen doesn't hit the wall with a real solid thump. I was wondering if the Foam Panels up against the wall would allow me to loosen the bungees to reduce the bounce back and at the same time protect from the thump of the ball and screen hitting the backwall.
