Light above hitting area

Hey all. I’ve been trying to figure out my setup in the garage and I’m scared to death I’m going to blow out a light above my hitting area. So I’ve been looking at a full 10x10x10 cage. However, I see all sorts of set ups that don’t have much “height” protection. Am I paranoid that a full swing 60 degree will blow out my ceiling? How much clearance depth do I need between mat and net to ensure a high angle shot doesn’t hit ceiling? Hard to enjoy a golf sim if my wife kills me for destroying a light fixture

I hit from 7 feet away, my enclosure is 10 feet high and extends out 2.5 feet. I've never had a problem, even with flop shots. 10 feet is a bit of overkill. 5 feet seems fairly standard.

From 10' back, my full 60 degree lob wedge hits wall between 8 and 9 feet high. I agree that 10 feet of depth on ceiling of cage is a lot. I have 6 feet on ceiling, but its in my garage and partially to support blackout curtains to reduce ambient light during day. Side protection, especially at 10' width, is useful.

I have a Mesh tarp attached to the ceiling and draped over the rear of the screen. Catches all errent flop shots and/or driver sky balls.
