  • Minimum Distance From Screen to Wall?

I am currently hitting into a net, which is better than nothing, but I am looking to make the move to a projector and screen for my mevo+.

I have a setup that is a bit strange, but it allows me to potentially do a very wide (~19') screen at 9' tall. However, due to a door, I would not have much room between the screen and a concrete wall. I have done some searching on what a safe minimum distance is, but have seen answers varying between 6" and 12".

Have any of your built setups with very short distances between screen and wall?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, using memory foam mattresses (1 inch) and archery netting between wall and main screen.

What is the distance from screen to wall in that setup?

    8-10 inches

      Anything in between?

Nevermind. Didn’t realize you were the one who posted above.

I’m 4 inches between screen(backed by a net) and the wall. I have my screen pulled pretty tight and a bare concrete floor so it bounces back perfectly to my mat. Hit...ball bounces back...lands on mat...move to hitting position...repeat.

It his smacked the back wall a couple times but it didn’t do damage and didn’t bounce back any harder than normal. I’m going to put some memory foam or a moving blanket behind just for 1 more layer of protection.

I read the 12 inch rule a lot....started at 8 and worked back from there. Have had no issues
