Screen size

So I'm getting ready to order a screen, but am wondering about size.

I have the space for a 16 x 10 screen but am wondering if it may be too big. If I'm standing 10 feet from the screen the viewing angle will be very large. I looked at TV guides which give ideals for watching using screen size verses distance and most indicate I am way outside optimal.

For those who have already built using large screens what are your thoughts on how it looks? I'm worried too big might overwhelm the eye.

16x10 at 10 feet is what I have and it is awesome. Very immersive IMO.

Go with the biggest screen that your space will allow.
