  • 2 foot wide reinforcement netting

Does anyone have a good source for 2 foot wide by 5-8 feet fall netting sections for reinforcement? Could use a bigger net for reinforcement, but then it's heavier on the frame. I've put too many balls through old nets not to reinforce them, and the reinforcement area is small enough to hopefully redo every few months. I've used prior net fragments, but I'd prefer having the outer twine intact, versus loose/cut net portions.

Perhaps this idea might interest you. I also hit into a net and found that the net both chewed up the metallic dot used by the mevo+ and made the balls very dirty because of the coating on the net which is there to help protect the netting in the outdoor environment. I got a 4ft wide painters tarp from Homedepot and hung it from the top support wire of the net. So far after about 1000 the tarp shows no ill affects. I have it held up with clips so I can take it down if need be. Here is a picture of it. It’s not the most attractive setup but it works very well. I first thought of using a section of impact screen but after looking around I could not justify the price, so for I think 12 bucks my problem is solved. The tarp was 24 but I cut in half so I can double if need be or just replace it when the time comes.

Thanks, I may buy a custom sized 3 foot wide by 6 feet long "professional" grade net from them. Not too pricey for reinforcement.

Let me know how it is. I need some as well but have never purchased any from them.

Nice idea. I think I'd prefer double netting to keep the noise down. I use an indoor room in the home. I haven't found a fabric option that isn't loud. And it's true that the driver/wood/hybrid are the truly loudest noises, but I'm trying to only have one loud noise per shot.

AndersonRains , I would not do this netting again. They justfor nets netting is knotted throughout, and so the knots preferentially get worn down by the golf ball. Even using a patching kit to patch holes in the net, which they were kind to give me, it’s simply cannot withstand regular golf ball impact in any useful way. Instead, I’ll keep buying additional sections of woven netting that does not have knots throughout.
