Carl’s screens - worth upgrading?

i am currently using a Carl’s standard impact screen. It’s definitely grainy and my benq projector isn’t that clear on it. Thinking about upgrading to the premium screen. Is it worth the $500? Anyone know if it makes that big of a difference?

just trying to decide if I spend the money upgrading scorn or maybe upgrading the projector. Or will a better projector not matter since the screen is so rough?

upgrading your projector won’t help, if you have a crappy screen. Unless your projector is like below 720p.

image quality is a combination of computer ( graphics card ), projector ( lumens and resolution ), software and screen. what software, computer and projector do you have?

I left Carls screen and went to Par2Pro and screen seemed to look better and It definitely outlast the Carls. Par2 pro has held its shape better.

I had the top of the line most expensive one. I have a post on here from last year with photos of ball impact marks after a few months that looked horrible. Carls just did not hold up.

I am moving away from Carls as well, my screen has holes in it from ball impacts after two years. They sent me a patch kit and offered a 15% discount for a new screen. I am really not happy with the product.

I’ve got the preferred and I’m happy with the quality. When it wears out might go with premium though.

Premium is far better than preferred. They aren't even comparable. I've had both.

I am receiving the Premium screen tomorrow. Was happy with the quality of the standard, so will report back on image quality and hopefully material quality...

This screen right here is an IDENTICAL product to a Carl’s Premium for HALF the price. I own the screen(multiple of them actually) and personally compared it to a Carls Premium Sample. It’s the same thing, guys. You’re wasting your money if you get Carl’s.

I have dbgolf screen too. I haven't used it yet. It looks like Carl's premium in terms of quality. It's a little off white in color vs Carl's premium.

Where were you two days ago? I ordered a finished Carl’s screen w grommets from their clearance section for only $100 more than DBs prices so really not too bad…. I need it finished not raw so…

That's what I like about my Carl's. I have 2 of them both finished with grommets. When its time for my dbgolf screen I'll be using tarp clips.
