Opinion on simulator room upgrade options...

My current setup is a GC2 with a BenQ W770ST project and Cory's mesh impact screen. This was perfectly acceptable until TGC came along. Looking for opinions from experienced forum members as to what order to upgrade components based on bang for the buck:

    - Upgrade projector to full HD 1080p model (e.g. something like BenQ W1080ST or Optima EH200ST)
    - Upgrade to Cory's HQ-Custom screen material

    Thanks for your thoughts.

The HD screen from Cory is top notch and it is reversible and washable. Picture will be much better than that mesh screen. The improvements of upgrading from 720 to 1080p for me were amazing. Not sure if it was the improved lumens or the resolution upgrade but it was well worth it. If you don't need a short throw projector, You may also want to look at the Optoma HD 25LV. It puts out 3500 lumens and the picture is better than my HD TV.

If you can afford it, I would go for something brighter than the 1080 St unless you are in a fully light controlled environment. I really like Cory's screen.
