Carl's enclosure- balls zipping up and back like a hot wheels race track!

Just recently purchased a custom enclosure from Carl's and it looks GOOD. 10' wide, 8.5' tall, 2' deep. Setup was easy and it looks super professional. My arm is a little sore after sawing through all that EMT though Pic added below.

Bounce back was a major issue at first, but I've removed most of the bungees along the bottom and a couple on the sides and it's greatly improved. It still comes back a little more than I'd like, but I don't want the screen hitting the wall behind it.

However, I also purchased the foam padding to cover the EMT frame, and it seems to pose a different issue. If I hit a worm burner (I am human...) it will zip along the floor, ramp up the foam at the bottom, up the screen, and around the foam at the top and back at me. The foam will keep the ball from hitting the tubing, but turns the golf ball into a little missile!

I also have the long weight bag velcro'd to the bottom flap, just like Carl's recommends.

Any thoughts on how to protect against worm-burners with a Carl's enclosure? I think the normal solution would be to leave some extra screen hanging on the floor, but that's not an option since this is custom made to fit the pipe frame perfectly and the weight bag and foam pull it kinda tight at the bottom.

How does everyone else have their Carl's enclosures set up at the bottom, also to prevent balls from running underneath?

The foam edging is angled 45°, correct? Flush on the floor and 4" +/- out from the screen, top is flush on the screen but not sticking out? Buy 1 more piece of foam for the bottom, invert it 180° and place it on top of the existing floor foam. So instead of having a slope running away from you it'll be a cube facing you. It won't run up the screen any longer. Or, just buy a 4" square piece of foam the same length as the width of your screen, use that instead of the ramped/sloped piece on there now.

Yeah, your description is correct. A little annoying that I'd need to buy another piece of foam after paying for the custom stuff from Carl's, but you may be right. I figured I'd need to make a barrier like you describe, I just want to figure out how to keep it looking good since the setup out of the box does look very nice.
