Priority is image quality and "flatness" (no wrinkles). Secondary is noise/bounceback. It's tough to figure out what's good and what's not out there, so if anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate them!
Funnily enough, the photos that you see on that page is identical to the ones used on Carl's Premium page. So maybe they source it from the same place? Or maybe they just used whatever photo online. (but they do have a video of it so you can check that out) But it actually does look different in real life to that photo in how it's been edged and one I have is of much higher quality. It cost me about $600 USD for 9.5 x 9.5 so yeah, not much diff in price. (and Australia is generally more expensive than US)
Either way, I can say I'm very happy with it. Very little bounceback, quiet, and so far, I've hit about 500+ balls into it from wedge to driver, and I see no damage or sagging yet. (didn't expect to ofc, not yet anyways) But yeah, I did have an archery net before this, so I have it right behind this new screen for support now. Maybe that might be making it more durable and causing even less bounce back. (haven't tried the new screen on its own)
fyi - here are couple of photos of my screen & setup: (my projector (Epson EB-2265U) isn't short throw so can't project 1:1 ratio with my 17' distance unfortunately)
Due to the nature of the screen, there is some light bleed, where the light goes through the first later, and disperses within its middle layer, and even some to the back. So yeah, it's not as crisp as it would look on a more dedicated projector screen, but for an impact screen with its chracteristics, not sure how it can get too much better.
Very happy with my Par2Pro. Over the last year I must have hit a few thousand balls with little to no damage. Aside from a few wrinkles from the original shipping, it’s held up quite nicely. It’s even taken on some baseballs since my boys hit into of a tee.
