Minimum distance between slotted angle iron and screen

I’m having a go at building my own simulator using slotted angle iron and hook bungees. I need to figure out what size screen to order. I want to maximize the screen size but realize it needs to be slightly smaller than the frame, so the bungees can pull it taut. I was wondering how much smaller the screen has to be on each side in mm or inches?

You should be good with about 2-3" on the sides and top. Most just let the screen hang down with any extra screen on the floor.

Got mine right up to angle iron, using bungies and cable ties.

Do it right and buy your screen from Par2Pro and they figure it all for you...SQ Screen...Fantastic!
