    folds in impact screen

just finished setting up my sim. All is great except the impact screen has folds in the bottom half of it, distorting the images to the point of distraction. For some reason I can't post a picture but was hoping for solutions which worked. Thanks.

No worries. They will come out on their own after you use it for a bit.

You didn't say how you sourced your screen. Mine came from Carl's folded in a box with note to open ASAP. I hung mine the next day and any fold lines quickly disappeared.

Thanks guys. These aren't wrinkles, they are folds. Mine came from 24-7 golf and also came in a box.

They will come out just takes time. Make sure you leave it hanging and you can try light steaming. Do not place an iron on or directly blast the screen with steam. You just want to get a little moisture in it and let it hang.

Still struggling with this. Are everyone else's screen's completely flat or are some folds normal? Makes putting difficult and i also watch tv on the screen and the picture is distorted. Is there something i can do with the frame or configure the straps differently?

I think you have a tautness issue. Consider playing around with how tightly your screen is around your frame. You will want to be careful when hitting balls after each adjustment as the rebound can change.

I had a few minor folds at first but they smoothed out after a few weeks. So, not sure it is "Normal" but could be a limitation with your specific screen. Have you called the manufacturer or reseller? I know Par2Pro describes how to remove the wrinkles from their products (I have the SQ Screen - exceptional product BTW).

Never heard of 24-7 golf until now. Went to their website and the screen on their homepage looks just like yours. Doesn't look like folds as you would think of it being folded up for shipping. Looks more like the black material covering the edges weren't sewed on straight. Unfortunately, I think they just make poor quality screens. Never had this issue with three Carl's screens.

Thanks all. I'll continue to try to adjust the screen on the frame. I appreciate everyone's help!
