Looks like things are coming along. I'm doing a build myself and just noticed that your not putting anything for ceiling protection. I've been in the same boat myself thinking about my build and am leaning towards a 10' x 30' netting and hanging it over the top of both side emt poles so it leaves 10' down the sides and the 10' in the middle are covered.

Yea havent addressed the ceiling ordeal yet. With the top / back rod the screen / back drop will be hung from I have. a place to secure another net / tarp and run it backwards towards the hitting area. Its not pictured, but at around 9' from that top / back rod I have a pillar that runs across the width of the ceiling. I could secure another end of the net to that. If I went with another tarp I could let it drape loosely from the top rod to meet up with the top of the screen, then run back to that pillar. The top rod / backdrop hangs at around 10'7" and with a 9.5 foot screen I plan to have a decent void above the screen so it lines up more evenly with the floor...so that gives me SOME room for a top barrier.

I've suggested this to others, buy some emt and you're all set in 2 hrs. Unless you're "MacGyver"

Definitely would be easier than what I am doing, but didnt want a full frame as I want to be able to retract the sides.

Alright so just waiting on some fittings to come in so I can add my screen frame sides and the rods for the side barriers to slide across. I do have a question though. Whether I use a screen with grommets or a raw screen I will have either bungees or tarp clips bungeed to the side frame. Is there a preferred way to cover the bungees up, or just leave them exposed? I plan to use velcro to secure the side barriers to the screen frame, but that will leave the bungees exposed between the frame and screen edge.

Got a bit done in the last couple weeks, pretty happy with the current state. Just need to tidy up some things (flooring / turf), and add some material from the top to cover the void between the frame and top screen edge. It was suggested I take a tension line from side to side to drape some material down to the top of the screen, but still undecided on if I will do that or something else. I may also add a second set of curtains for extra protection, but at 9' away we have not had any balls escape the side barriers yet.

Plan is to add some 3/4" eva foam tiles down from the back wall to the hitting area, and cover in turf, and then onto the monitor and projector.
