So my wife has given me the green light to convert the kids playroom in the basement to a sim room.
The room:
Length 13’3”
Width 12’3”
Height 8’6”with carpet and 0.25” subfloor.
No problems swinging Wedge-5 iron as I am only 5’10”
The vision:
Launch Monitor-Going to go with either the EyeXO and recess it into the ceiling or the GC3.
Projector-Having trouble doing the math here with my room dimensions/ceiling height.
Impact Screen- leaning towards Carl’s DIY 8’x12’ with 3’ side protectors.
Turf- 3/4” foam mats with a Lowe’s synthetic turf taped down and a CCE mat taped down on top of that for hitting area.
Questions:
1.) Would it be possible to widen the entryway where the French doors are to expand the length of the room? Would it be possible to raise it as well to be flush with the ceiling?
2.) Should I mount the projector or use a floor projector?
3.) Is the room wide enough at 12’3’’?
4.) If entryway cannot be widened, is 13’3” long enough?
